IHS Programs
Humane Studies Fellowships
Awards of up to $15,000 for graduate students and outstanding undergraduates conducting research that advances a free society through their academic work. Deadline: December 31.
Policy Internship Program
Paid internships at think tanks and advocacy groups across the US during the summer of 2011. Program includes two career workshops in Washington, DC, and weekly lectures by academics and policy professionals. Deadline: January 31.
Journalism Internship Program
Opportunities in print, broadcast, new media, and the emerging field of non-profit, investigative journalism during the spring, summer, and fall. A journalism major is not required. Talented writers and speakers encouraged to apply. Deadlines: November 15, January 1, and July 1.

IHS @ Southern Economics Association, Washington DC, November 19-21
Nigel Ashford and Adam Martin of IHS will host a reception from 6:30-8:00pm in the Washington Marriott's Hoover Room on Saturday, November 19. Woodrow Wilson International Fellowships, Washington DC
Woodrow Wilson Center offers 25 international residential fellowships for post-PhD scholars and public intellectuals working on issues on: 1) global sustainability or security; 2) regional power shifts; or 3) American challenges as a global power. Deadline: October 1.
Humboldt Research Fellowships, Germany
Fellowships to junior and senior scholars of all nationalities to conduct research in Germany. Deadline: Rolling.
Postdoctoral Fellowships, Political Theory Project, Brown University, RI
The Political Theory Project will appoint up to seven postdoctoral fellows in political theory, political philosophy, constitutional history, religion and politics, political economy, legal history, and history of economic thought. Deadline: November 1.

Supply and Demand Video Contest
Hackley Endowment for the Study of Capitalism and Free Enterprise at Fayetteville State University is pleased to announce the supply and demand music video contest open to all students in the US. The first prize winner gets $2,500 and the professor of the winning student gets $500. Deadline: December 15.
